Washington battled but came up on the short end of the scoreboard for the second straight game down in South Beach as they were knocked off by the Heat. The Wizards entered Saturday 10-9 on the season, leaving them second in the Southeast Division, one game behind the Hawks for the top spot. Against Miami, Washington started strong, leading by as many as 12 in the opening quarter and by 10 after one. The Wizards saw the lead trimmed to three at the half and the game was even after three quarters. Washington’s last lead came at 105-104 with 2:24 to play: they were outscored 6-2 the rest of the way to wind up with the loss. The Wizards shot 43% from the floor, including 11 of 29 from three-point range, and allowed Miami to shoot 47.2% in the game. Kyle Kuzma and Bradley Beal each had 28 points and five assists to lead the Wizards in the loss.

On the season, the Wizards are 29th in th e league in scoring offense with 108.3 points per game. Washington is 7th in rebounding by grabbing 45.2 boards a night while they stand 14th in assists by dishing out 24.9 dimes a contest. Delon Wright (hamstring) has played just four games this season. He is expected to be reevaluated in mid-December. Johnny Davis (groin), Hachimura (ankle) and Morris (ankle) all missed Friday’s game. Hachimura and Morris have each missed the last three contests: each of the three players are all considered day-to-day.
