The Washington Wizards and the Minnesota Timberwolves collide at the Target Center on Thursday night.

The Washington Wizards have been in decent shape as they’ve won three of their past four games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Trail Blazers in a 126-101 road win on Tuesday. Kyle Kuzma led the team with 33 points on 11 of 20 shooting, Kristaps Porzingis added 28 points with 12 rebounds and five assists while Bradley Beal chipped in with 19 points and four assists. As a team, the Wizards shot 57 percent from the field and 17 of 33 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 31 points in the first quarter to take the lead into halftime, before they exploded for 38 points in the third quarter to push the lead out to 25 points and put the game to bed early.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won nine of their last 14 games overall and they will be hoping to stay hot after outlasting the Mavericks in a thrilling 124-121 road win on Monday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 32 points on 12 of 22 shooting, Rudy Gobert added 21 points with 14 rebounds on nine of nine shooting while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 19 points on seven of eight shooting. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 57 percent from the field and nine of 29 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 33 points in the first quarter and dominated most of the game to build a 26-point lead, only to escape with the narrow victory as the Mavericks rallied all the way back, only to turn the ball over on the final possession.
