Washington Wizards at Indiana Pacers – 10/19/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Washington Wizards invade Gainbridge Fieldhouse to take on the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

The Washington Wizards will be hoping to build on their 35 wins from last season as they come into this one with a new-look lineup. Will Barton and Monte Morris were the two key guards acquired from the Nuggets in the offseason and they also selected Johnny Davis with their 10th overall pick in the draft. Bradley Beal led the team last season with averages of 23.2 points and 6.6 assists but played just 40 games, Kristaps Porzingis was acquired midseason and showed plenty of positive signs as he averaged 22.1 points and 8.8 rebounds in his 17 games while Kyle Kuzma averaged 17.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. As a team, the Wizards scored an average of 108.6 points per game, while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 34.2 percent from the 3-point line.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers will be hoping to move on from last season where they won just 25 games to finish third-last in the Eastern Conference. Domantas Sabonis was traded away for Tyrese Haliburton, TJ Warren and Malcolm Brogdon are gone which meant the Pacers went into full tank mode. Caris LeVert led the team with averages of 18.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, Tyrese Haliburton averaged 17.5 points and 9.6 assists per game while Myles Turner averaged 12.9 points per game. As a team, the Pacers scored an average of 111.5 points per game while shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from the 3-point line.
