Washington Wizards at Charlotte Hornets – 11/7/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Washington Wizards pay a visit to the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Center on Monday night.

The Washington Wizards have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost five of their past six games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling to the Grizzlies in a 103-97 road loss last night. Monte Morris led the way with 18 points, Rui Hachimura added 15 points while Kyle Kuzma and Will Barton each scored 12 points. As a team, the Wizards shot just 42 percent from the field and eight of 41 from the 3-point line as they rallied all the way back from a 23-point deficit, only to go ice-cold late in the game to allow the Grizzlies to slip away in the end. Kristaps Porzingis had a rough game of just 10 points on three of 13 shooting while Denii Avdija scored just four points on two of 12 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been in a real slump as they’ve lost six of their past seven games and they will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight defeat after coming up short against the Nets in a 98-94 loss on Saturday. Terry Rozier led the team in scoring with 25 points, PJ Washington and Kelly Oubre Jr. each scored 18 points while Nick Richards chipped in with 10 points off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot just 37 percent from the field and 14 of 42 from the 3-point line, but they were scrappy on the defensive end which allowed them to hang in the contest until the end where the Nets’ Kevin Durant took the game away.
