Stanford hosted Washington State at home Thursday night in their previous game, falling 89-75 and losing outright as a 3.5-point favorite. In the all-time series between the schools, the Cardinal own a 79-70 advantage, including an 81-69 home win in the most recent matchup back on February 26, 2023.

Washington went to the wire but managed to pick up a road victory over Cal in their previous game Thursday night. The Huskies improved to 11-7 overall and 3-4 in the Pac-12 on the season as they hope to even their mark in conference play. Against Cal, Washington trailed by as many as six in the first half only to lead by five at the half. The Huskies pushed their advantage to as many as 11 early in the second half only to see Cal rally to lead by six with 2:05 to play. Washington regrouped, outscoring the Golden Bears 10-2 the rest of the way, capped by a buzzer-beating three-pointer from the corner by Moses Wood, to earn the victory. The Huskies shot only 37.7% from the field, including 10 of 35 from beyond the arc, but held a 44-35 advantage on the boards in the victory. Keion Brooks Jr. led Washington with 21 points and seven rebounds in the win.

The Huskies are averaging 80.3 points per game on the season at this point in time, which puts them 52nd in the nation in scoring offense. Washington is grabbing 37.7 rebounds a night while handing out 14.9 assists a night. The defense has been below average in Mike Hopkins’ seventh season as the Huskies are 269th in scoring defense as they allow 75 points a night.
