We've got a late tip-off here on the West Coast as the California Golden Bears get ready to host the Washington Huskies for this Pac-12 showdown. It's been another lost year for California, as they enter this one at 3-24, while Washington sits at 15-13. The Washington Huskies haven't been a disaster by any stretch, but it also hasn't been a season to write home about. They enter this one at 15-13 overall, and 7-10 in conference play, and seem to be at least a ways away from contending for March Madness appearances.
That being said they've been playing a bit better recently, and they enter this one having won back to back games. They've been playing particularly well on defense, and their last time out they held Oregon State to just 47 points while limiting them to 32.3% shooting from the floor. They forced the Beavers to commit a whopping 18 turnovers, and they did it without fouling as Oregon State only attempted seven free throws the whole game. Right before that they had held Oregon to 41.2% shooting from the field, and even in their most recent loss they only gave up 56 points. The offense is what needs improvement, but at least there are some bri ght spots.

The other best thing they've got going for them on offense is their free to throw shooting, as they're knocking down more than 75% of their attempts from the charity stripe. But this team's bread and butter is always going to be defense, and they've got three different guys averaging at least 1.3 blocks per game.
