The No. 21 Washington Huskies (4-1) square off against a fellow Pac-12 opponent when they visit the Arizona State Sun Devils (1-4) on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Sun Devil Stadium.
The Huskies took on the UCLA Bruins in their most recent game, losing 40-32. The Sun Devils are coming off of a loss to the USC Trojans by the score of 42-25. Against the Bruins, Michael Penix Jr. led the Dawgs with 345 yards on 33-of-48 passing (68.8%) for four touchdowns and two interceptions. Wayne Taulapapa ran for 48 yards on 10 carries (4.8 yards per carry), adding five receptions for 56 yards. Rome Odunze had 116 yards on eight catches (14.5 per reception) with two touchdowns in that game. Emory Jones’ showing for the Devils against the Trojans included 23-of-32 passing for 243 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He rushed 10 times for -5 yards and one touchdown. Xazavian Valladay carried the ball 13 times for 64 yards and one touchdown. He caught two passes for 29 yards and one touchdown. Bryan Thompson picked up 86 yards through the air after five catches (on seven targets).
The Sun Devils are double-digit, 13.5-point underdogs in their matchup with the Huskies (the game has a total of 58.5 points).
