Washington State vs. Baylor Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 12-18-2022

The 11th ranked Baylor Bears got for their third straight win Sunday when they host the Washington State Cougars. The Bears, who play in the Big 12, is 7-2 while the Cougars of the Pac-12 are 2-5 on the season and 0-2 in the conference. These two teams haven't played one another since 2010, when Washington State won. Tipoff is at 10:00 p.m. EST at the AA Center in Dallas.

The Washington State Cougars are limping along at 4-5 on the season and 0-2 in the Pac-12. KenPom has them ranked No. 61 in the country, which seems a little high, given their record and their somewhat easy schedule so far. They don't have a quality win yet, with wins over Texas State, Eastern Washington, Detroit, and Northern Kentucky. They have some bad losses too, as they lost to Boise State and Prairie View. They have also lost to Oregon, Utah, and most recently, UNLV.

The Washington State Cougars are coming off a 74-70 loss at UNLV last Saturday as a 2.5 point underdog. Washington State was hot from three, shooting 56% from three on 13 of 23 shooting. But they had way too many turnovers, 22 to be exact, as the Runnin Rebels recorded 12 steals. TJ Bamba led Washington State with 20 points on 4 three pointers while Justin Powell had 15 points on 5 of 7 shooting from three point range. DJ Rodman added 14 points and 5 rebounds. The Cougars rank 63rd in offensive efficiency and 63rd in defensive efficiency.
