Washington State at Wisconsin 9/10/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Washington State Cougars and Wisconsin Badgers face off on Saturday in a Week 2 college football showdown at Camp Randall Stadium.

The Washington State Cougars opened up their season against Idaho and the game was a lot closer than what they wanted it to be. At the end of the first quarter, Idaho was down 10-0 but the offense was better in the last three quarters to secure the victory. Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward was strong completing 25 of his 40 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Nakia Watson had a big game rushing 18 times for 117 yards. In this game, Washington State can’t fall behind early. It’s not going to be as easy to come back if they are down 10-0 early in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Wisconsin Badgers who opened up their season with a 38-0 victory against the Illinois State Redbirds. Under center for Wisconsin is Graham Mertz and he completed 14 of his 16 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown. This is still a run-first team and Braelon Allen had a huge game finishing with 14 carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Chimere Dike caught 3 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. The offense looked good, but even better was the defense that didn’t let Illinois State move the ball. They also finished with two interceptions.
