The New York Mets (14-9) will host the Washington Nationals (7-14) in the first game of a three-game series on Tuesday. Last season New York beat Washington in 14 out of 19 head-to-head games.
Washington came into this season with an over/under win total set at 59.5, projected to be tied with Oakland as the worst team in MLB. The Nationals look to be on their way to a 100-loss season already. They have not won more than two games in a row this season and have lost seven of their last 10 games.
