Washington Commanders at Houston Texans – 11/20/22 NFL Picks and Prediction

The Washington Commanders and Houston Texans face off on Sunday in an NFL showdown at NRG Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2018 it was Houston that secured the 23-21 victory.

Washington comes into this game with a 5-5 record and they have gone 5-4-1 against the spread. Washington got out to a slow start to the season, but they have won four of their last five games. In the last game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Commanders scored 32 points, and that led to the 11-point victory. Taylor Heinicke had a solid game completing 17 of his 29 passes for 211 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Brian Robinson also had a solid game finishing with 26 carries for 86 yards and a touchdown. Even if Carson Wentz is back, the Commanders are going to be sticking with Heinicke as the starting quarterback. Washington is averaging 19.1 points while their defense is giving up 21.3 points per game. Chase Young is expected to be activated for this game.

On the other side of this matchup is Houston who sits with a 1-7-1 record and they have gone 4-4-1 against the spread. In the last game against the New York Giants, the offense only managed 16 points and that led to the eight-point defeat. Even though the Texans lost, Davis Mills actually looked pretty good. He completed 22 of his 37 passes for 319 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Dameon Pierce is having a big season and in the last game, he finished with 17 carries for 94 yards. The Texans are averaging 16.6 points while their defense is giving up 23 points per game. The offense is going to need to find success in this game.
