The 2022-23 NHL season goes on with a 14-game Saturday card and brings this interconference clash from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada when the Washington Capitals take on the Vegas Golden Knights at 10:00 p.m. ET.

The Washington Capitals continued their impressive run on the road, earning a 4-0 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday. Washington is 3-1-0 on the road in January and moved to 12-9-3 overall. Darcy Kuemper made 26 saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season. That ended a string of three straight contests where he allowed three or more goals.

“Really good, really good,” Washington coach Peter Laviolette said of Kuemper. “Sometimes it's tough in those games where there's not a lot of volume and not that much coming at you. … But, at the end, they were pushing and pressing, he had to make some saves and I thought he looked really good.”

Dylan Strome had two goals and Tom Wilson had a goal and an assist. Washington has now scored 17 goals in their last four road contests, a surprising turn of events as the club has struggled at home, producing 10 goals in their last five home contests. The Capitals are averaging 3.21 goals per game, 13th overall, and are ninth in goals allowed (2.73).
