Washington at Colorado Prediction – Basketball Picks 1/19/23

The Washington Huskies will head down to Boulder to meet the Colorado Buffaloes in Pac-12 play from the CU Events Center on ESPNU. This will mark the 35th time Colorado and Washington cross paths, and the UW holds the all-time series lead, 20-14.

Washington moved to 11-8 after beating Cal at home. The Huskies got a sweat in Seattle from the 3-win Golden Bears, but they escaped in overtime with the 81-78 win. Washington is scoring 70.1 points per game, while allowing 68.6 ppg, and shooting 43.5% from the field.

Washington snapped a five-game skid with two wins in Seattle over the PAC-12’s worst squads, and they’ll look to win just their second road game of the season here. UW has a similar look of a one-man band this season, with UK transfer Keion Brooks Jr. leading the way. The 6’7 forward has posted three double-doubles in a row, and he went for 26 points in the OT win over Cal. Brooks Jr. leads the Huskies in scoring (16.9) and rebounding (7.3). Fresno State transfer Braxton Meah scored a season-high 21 points in the win over Stanford, and he’s averaging 9.5 ppg and 6.8 rpg.
