The Demon Deacons jumped on the Pirates early, taking a 29-point lead into the locker room and cruising to an eighth straight home victory. Tyree Appleby has found a home in Winston-Salem. The two-time transfer has averaged double figures in all four seasons played, and he’s on pace to do so once again. The former Florida Gator scored 22 points in the win over Georgia, and he leads Wake in scoring at 17.8 ppg. Delaware transfer Andrew Carr is also settling in as well, reaching double figures in five of seven games. Second-year guard Cameron Hildereth is posting a nice line of 11.9 ppg, 3.9 apg, and a team-lead 6.6 rpg.
