Wake Forest at Louisville – 1/7/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will travel and take on the Louisville Cardinals in ACC play from KFC Yum! Center. Louisville leads the all-time series 9-3 after winning five of the last six meetings.

Wake Forest fell to 10-5 after losing to UNC in Chapel Hill. The Demon Deacons couldn’t hold on to a slim halftime lead, and were handed a third straight road loss, 88-79. Wake is scoring 75.9 points per game, while allowing 72.2 ppg, and shooting 45.9% from the field. 

Wake Forest begins the start of a sweet stretch in ACC play here, and they’ll look to capitalize. Tyree Appleby played all 40 minutes versus VT, and scored 24 points to bring his team-leads to 18.3 ppg and 5.7 apg. Second-year guard Cameron Hildereth has been dynamic alongside him in the backcourt, posting a triple-double in win over Hampton, while averaging a nice line of 11.3 ppg, 3.1 apg, and a team-lead 6.9 rpg. Delaware transfer Andrew Carr has reached double figures in four of the last five games, and he’s averaging 10.7 ppg and 5.6 rpg on the season.
