The Virginia Tech Hokies (11-1, 6-6 ATS, 5-7 O/U) battle the Boston College Eagles (6-6, 3-9 ATS, 5-7 O/U) in an ACC clash on Wednesday evening. The Hokies extended their winning streak with a win against Grambling State on Saturday. The Eagles rebounded from a slide with a win against Stonehill. Boston College recorded a 68-63 home win in the lone meeting last season.

The #21 Virginia Tech Hokies are one of the hottest squads in the ACC. Virginia Tech has now collected six consecutive victories propelled by consistent scoring. This includes a big 80-72 win against the Tar Heels in their ACC opener earlier this month. The Hokies have since beaten Dayton and Oklahoma State. They were huge 19-point favorites in a 74-48 home win against Grambling State on Saturday. They have covered the spread in four straight games. 

Sean Pedulla continues to shine. The sophomore guard scored 21 points on Saturday and has now reached 20 points three times this season. Pedulla has delivered an average of 17.2 PPG on 48% shooting. Grant Basile is a consistent performer. The senior forward has scored at least 13 points in two out of his last three games and is averaging 14 PPG and 5.6 RPG. Justyn Mutts is tough to contain down low. The s enior forward has connected on at least 56% of his field goals in three out of his last four games and has logged an average of 12.8 PPG along with 7.9 RPG.

The Hokies are ranked 24th in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and climbed three spots to #21 in this week’s edition of the AP Top 25. They surprisingly lost their lone road game against Charleston. Virginia Tech has recorded at least 70 points in four consecutive games and is scoring an average of 76.3 points on the year, ranking them 116th. They are conceding an average of 62.3 points, placing them 47th.
