Saint Joseph's Hawks (4-5) will host the Villanova Wildcats (5-5) Saturday in their non-conference Holy War rivalry game. Villanova has won the last ten meeting head-to-head, but the Hawks have covered the spread in two of their last three. Last year on was not a cover for the Hawks, as Villanova beat St. Joes 81-52 as a 22 point favorite.

The Villanova Wildcats went 30-8 last season and advanced to the Final Four, where they lost to the Kansas Jayhawks 81-65. Coming into this season, Villanova had +5,000 odds to win the NCAA title according to BetMGM, which gave them the 20th best odds to win the title. In the preseason Big East coaches poll, Villanova was selected to finish third behind Creighton and Xavier.

In their first season under head coach Kyle Neptune, the Wildcats are rated 54th according to KenPom. The offense has been steeler ranking 12th in adjusted offensive efficiency and third making 81.9% of their free throws. The defense is 126th rated in adjusted efficiency.

Villanova lost five of its first even games to open the season but have now won three straight games since 6'7 freshman Cam Whitmore joined the sqaud after a thumb injury. Whitmore is averaging 15.7 ppg through his first three college games. Senior guard Caleb Daniels leads the team with 16.8 ppg.
