Villanova at DePaul – 1/10/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Villanova Wildcats will head to Chicago to meet the DePaul Blue Demons from the Wintrust Arena on CBSSN. Villanova holds an overwhelming series lead of 20-0.

Villanova dropped to 8-8 after losing to Xavier at home. The Wildcats were outscored in both halves by the visiting Musketeers. Villanova is scoring 71.5 points per game, while allowing 68.3 ppg and shooting 43.6% from the field.

Villanova is off to a 2-3 start and they have to make sure they don’t slip on this two-game road trip with DePaul and Butler. Caleb Daniels is thriving in a bigger role this season, and after scoring a team-high 23 points versus Xavier, he leads Nova in scoring (16.7) and assists (3.4), while grabbing 5.1 rpg. Eric Dixon has also taken on a bigger role, and he’s posting an identical 16.2  and a team-lead 6.3 rpg. True freshman Cam Whitmore went off for a career-high 26 points against the Musketeers to bring his season average to 12.9 ppg.
