Two straight victories take the Vancouver Canucks (6th in Pacific Division) to a home contest against the Vegas Golden Knights (1st in Pacific), who have managed to triumph in just one of their past four matchups.

The Vegas Golden Knights (14-4-1) were beaten for the third time in their last four outings (1-2-1) after being edged out with a 4-3 overtime count by the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on Saturday. Mark Stone (7 goals, 15 points this year) lit the lamp twice, giving Vegas a 2-1 lead early on in the second period before forcing the extra session with a 3-3 equalizer midway through the third frame, only for the Oilers to grab the win 1:17 into the tiebreaker. Keegan Kolesar (3 goals, 4 points) also scored for the Golden Knights, who are 6-0-1 in their last seven road matchups.

Goalie Adin Hill made 19 saves on Saturday and has now gone 5-1-1 for the season with a 2.55 GAA and a .909 save percentage. He has picked up a 0-2-0 previous tally versus Vancouver with a 3.02 GAA and a .887 save percentage, while Logan Thompson (9-3-0 on th e year with a 2.27 GAA and a .925 save percentage) has never faced the Canucks before. The Golden Knights, meanwhile, are netting the 5th highest quantity of snipes per game this season (3.58), while conceding the 4th lowest amount in their defensive zone (2.47).
