The Vegas Golden Knights face the St. Louis Blues with both teams looking to build off great starts to the season. The Golden Knights have a 16-5-5 record and are in first place in the Pacific Division but they have stumbled in recent games, winning only four of their last 10 games. The Blues have a 13-10-1 record and with five wins in their last 10 games, they are in fifth place in the Central Division. Both teams look to improve in the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a good one.

The Golden Knights are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.08 goals per game. Jack Eichel, William Karlsson, and Mark Stone have scored 29 goals and 43 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Jonathan Marchessault, Michael Amadio, and Chandler Stephenson have combined for 17 goals and 25 assists while defensemen Alex Pietrangelo and Brayden McNabb have added two goals and 18 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Golden Knights, allowing only 2.31 goals per game including only four goals in their last three games. Brayden McNabb and Alex Pietrangelo have combined for 3.9 defensive point shares and 147 blocked shots while Ben Hutton and Kaedan Korczak have combined for 2.1 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Adin Hill has been remarkable with a .935 save percentage and a 1.87 goals-against average on 403 shots with 12.9 goals saved above average.
