Vegas Golden Knights (14-5-2) vs. Edmonton Oilers (7-12-1)

The 2023-24 NHL season goes on Tuesday, November 28, with the Vegas Golden Knights taking on the Edmonton Oilers in the Pacific Division showdown at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, with the puck drop at 9:00 PM ET.

Vegas and Edmonton begin their three-game regular-season series. They lock horns for the first time since the second round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs when Vegas eliminated Edmonton in six games.

Monday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the Vegas Golden Knights took on the Calgary Flames to start a three-game road trip. The reigning NHL champs have struggled as of late, winning just three of their previous nine games overall.

Last Saturday, the Golden Knights were blanked by the Arizona Coyotes 2-0. They outshot the Yotes 34-18, but Connor Ingram was outstanding between the pipes. Vegas went 0-for-5 with the man advantage and yielded a couple of third-period goals including Lawson Crouse’s empty-netter.

Vegas is 18th in the league in goals for (3.14 per game) and third in goals against (2.38). Adin Hill (9-2-1; 1.97 GAA; .932 SV%) was projected to guard the cage Monday against the Flames which means we should see Logan Thompson in the crease on Tuesday. Thompson, who’s winless in four straight starts, sits at 5-3-1 with a 2.32 GAA and a .922 save percentage for the season.
