The Vegas Golden Knights face the Dallas Stars in Game Four of the Western Conference Final in what has been a one-sided series so far. The Golden Knights have taken the first three games and are one win away from the Stanley Cup Final. The Stars lost the first two games in overtime but fell apart in Game Three to fall into a 0-3 series hole. The Golden Knights look to advance to the Stanley Cup Final while the Stars look to avoid elimination and Game Four should be a good one.
The Golden Knights have controlled the Western Conference Final with their offense stepping up and scoring 11 goals. Ivan Barbashev and Jonathan Marchessault have scored three goals and four assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Mark Stone, Chandler Stephenson, and Nicolas Roy have combined for two goals and seven assists while defensemen Alex Pietrangelo and Zach Whitecloud have added a goal and three assists from the point to help open up the offense.
The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Golden Knights, allowing only five goals with a shutout in Game Three. Alex Pietrangelo and Alec Martinez have led the top pairing while Zach Whitecloud, Shea Theodore, and Brayden McNabb have added depth to the unit, creating turnovers in all three zones and limiting shots on the net. In addition, goaltender Adin Hill has stepped up in this series , saving 93 of the 98 shots he's faced.
