The Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets face off on Tuesday in an NHL showdown at the MTS Centre. These two teams have faced off twice so far this season and Vegas has won each of the games.

On Sunday against the Boston Bruins, the Golden Knights only scored one goal and that led to the two goal defeat. Vegas is averaging 3.2 goals while their defense is giving up 2.67 goals per game. The offense is ranked 14th in the league while the defense is ranked 5th. Jack Eichel has scored 13 goals and added 16 assists. In this game, Vegas needs to get the offense going here.
On the other side of this matchup is Winnipeg who sits with an 18-8-1 record and they have gone 10-4-0 at home. In the last game against the Washington Capitals, the defense gave up five goals, and they lost by three goals. Two games ago against the Blackhawks, the Jets were able to secure a 3-1 victory. The Jets are averaging 3.29 goals while their defense is giving up 2.56 goals per game. The defense is ranked 4th in the league, and it will need to be the defense that slows down Vegas. Having strong defense here would really take some of the pressure off the offense.
