Against the Edmonton Oilers, Vegas scored three goals, but they gave up four goals including one in overtime, and that led to the defeat. Vegas is averaging 3.58 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.47 goals per game. Jack Eichel is having a big season for Vegas scoring 10 goals and adding 12 assists. In this game if the defense is good, Vegas will be in good shape. Alex Pietrangelo has scored two goals and added 15 assists.
On the other side of this matchup is Vancouver who sits with a 6-9-3 record and they have gone 3-3-1 at home. The Canucks have won two games in a row and over those two games, the offense has scored nine goals total. On Friday, the Canucks were able to beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-1. Vancouver is averaging 3.44 goals per game while their defense is giving up 3.89 goals per game. The defense is ranked 30th, and that has to be a big concern heading into this game. Elias Pettersson has scored nine goals this season and added 13 assists.
