Vegas Golden Knights at Calgary Flames – 10/18/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Vegas Golden Knights and Calgary Flames face off on Tuesday in an NHL showdown at Scotiabank Saddledome. 

The Flames come into this game with a 1-1 record overall and the last game was a loss. In the first game, the Flames beat the Colorado Avalanche 5-3 and in the last game they beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3. In the last game against the Oilers, the Flames were up 4-1 at the end of the first period. The defense struggled in the second period giving up two goals, but they held on for the 4-3 victory. Michael Stone had a big game for the Flames finishing with one goal and two assists. Daniel Vlader was in goal for the Flames and he finished saving 26 of the 29 shots he faced. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Golden Knights who sit with a 3-0 record. Vegas beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-3, Chicago Blackhawks 1-0, and the Seattle Kraken 5-2. At the end of the second period, Vegas was up 5-0 against Seattle, and the two goals given up in the third period weren’t much of a concern. Jack Eichel has been strong to start the season and in the last game he finished with two assists and two shots on goal. Jonathan Marchessault had three shots on goal and two goals. In goal for Vegas was Adin Hall and he stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced.
