Vanderbilt at Kentucky – 3/1/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Vanderbilt Commodores will head down to Lexington to face the Kentucky Wildcats in conference play from the Rupp Arena on the SEC Network. UK leads the all-time series, 115-37, after winning fourteen straight meetings.

Vanderbilt moved to 16-13 after beating Florida in Nashville. The Commodores jumped out the Gators early, and poured it on to beat them by sixteen, 88-72. Vandy is scoring 71.4 points per game, while allowing 71.9 ppg, and shooting 41.8% from the floor.

Vanderbilt got back into the win column with the strong win over Florida, and while they may miss the Big Dance, a return to the NIT feels worthy for this streaking squad. Vandy is 9-7 in SEC play, with a 4-6 road record. Vandy got veteran big man Liam Robbins back at the beginning of the month, and his presence in the middle has been the key to this winning stretch. The 7’ center has scored 23 points or more in four of the last five games, and he leads the team in scoring (15.5) and rebounding (7.1). Veteran guard Ezra Manjon added 15 points in the win over UF, and he’s up to 8.9 ppg and a team-lead 3.8 apg.
