The Vancouver Canucks face the Nashville Predators with both teams looking to improve on their rough seasons. The Canucks have a 22-30-4 record and are near the bottom of the Pacific Division while the Predators have a 26-22-6 record and with three losses in their last four games have fallen to the bottom of the Central Division. Both teams look to rebound in their divisions and make a push for the playoffs and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Canucks are having a rough season despite their offense stepping up and scoring 3.36 goals per game including 10 goals in their last two games. Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller, and Andrei Kuzmenko have scored 70 goals and 100 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Conor Garland, Brock Boeser, and Dakota Joshua have combined for 29 goals and 50 assists while defensemen Quinn Hughes and Oliver Ekman-Larsson have added seven goals and 67 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense is one of the worst in the league, allowing 4.02 goals per game with 19 goals in the last four games. Quinn Hughes and Luke Schenn have combined for 4.8 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Colin Delia is having a rough season wi th a .878 save percentage and a 3.48 goals-against average on 369 shots with -10.1 goals saved above average.
