Thatcher Demko stopped 17 of 19 shots in the victory, moving to 10-13-2 with a 3.30 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage. He has allowed two or fewer goals in seven of his last nine starts. Vancouver has also been very good defensively in their last 10, averaging 2.20 goals per game. That is a surprising turn of events, as the team is 27th in goals-against average (3.69) and dead last in penalty killing (69.9%).
