The UTSA Roadrunners (5-2) host a C-USA showdown against the North Texas Mean Green (4-3) on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Alamodome.
The Roadrunners knocked off the Florida International Panthers 30-10 in their most recent game. The Mean Green are coming off of a victory over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs by the score of 47-27. Against the Panthers, Frank Harris led the Roadrunners with 303 yards on 24-of-35 passing (68.6%) for two touchdowns and no interceptions. Kevorian Barnes carried the ball 20 times for 128 yards (6.4 yards per carry) with two touchdowns on the ground. He also had one reception for 13 yards. Zakhari Franklin had 68 yards on six catches (11.3 per reception) with one touchdown in that game. Austin Aune threw for 196 yards for the Mean Green against the Bulldogs, going 11-for-20 (55.0%) with two touchdowns and one interception. Ayo Adeyi put together a seven-carry, 122-yard game (17.4 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. Var’Keyes Gumms caught four passes on four targets for 59 yards (14.8 yards per reception), and scored one touchdown.
The Mean Green are heavy, 10-point underdogs in their matchup with the Roadrunners (the game has a total of 69.5 points).
