The (8-0) New Mexico Lobos will host the (5-3) Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners at The Pit on Saturday. The Mountain West vs. Conference USA battle will start at 4:00 p.m. ET. UTSA defeated Incarnate Word 68-62 in its last game on Nov. 28. New Mexico beat Western New Mexico 102-63 on Dec. 6. The Lobos are 6-0 at home, and the Roadrunners are 0-1 in road games this season.

UTSA went just 10-22, with a 1-11 record in away games last season. 5-3 to start 2022-23, Texas-San Antonio will have consecutive opportunities to prove it's an improved team with games against New Mexico and Utah.

Sophomore guard John Buggs contributed 14 points, hitting four three-pointers, and senior guard Japhet Medor scored 11 points. In the previous game, UTSA fell to Dartmouth by one point in overtime. Germany posted a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds, while freshman DJ Richards contributed 13 points and seven boards. The Roadrunners trailed by seven at halftime but narrowed the gap to force an overtime period. It was a close battle, with neither team leading by double digits.

Texas-San Antonio is scoring 67.3 points on 41.2 percent shooting from the field. Its opponents score 65.9 points on 39.3 percent shooting, including 28.0 percent from distance. The Roadrunners' assist-to-turnover ratio is 0.77, the 303rd-best ratio in the nation.
