The UTSA Roadrunners (3-2) and the Florida International Panthers (2-2) square off on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Riccardo Silva Stadium in a clash of C-USA opponents.
In their last game, the Roadrunners won 31-28 over the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Panthers are coming off of a loss to the UConn Huskies by the score of 33-12. Frank Harris had 273 yards on 24-of-35 passing (68.6%) for the Roadrunners in that matchup against the Hilltoppers, with one touchdown and no interceptions. He also added 10 carries for 61 yards and one rushing touchdown. Brenden Brady totaled 82 rushing yards on 19 carries (4.3 yards per carry), scoring one touchdown on the ground. He also had four catches for 51 yards. Zakhari Franklin had 95 yards on six catches (15.8 per reception) in that game. Grayson James’ showing for the Panthers against the Huskies included 28-of-43 passing for 256 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. He rushed eight times for 20 yards. Lexington Joseph carried the ball seven times for 103 yards (14.7 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. In the passing game, he added one catch for two yards. Jalen Bracey registered 75 yards t hrough the air after nine catches (on 11 targets).
The Panthers are big, 32-point underdogs in their matchup with the Roadrunners (the game’s total is 63 points).
