The UTSA Roadrunners will travel to Boca Raton and face the Florida Atlantic Owls in Conference USA action from The Burrow on ESPN+. FAU leads the head-to-head series, 9-6, after winning the last two meetings.
UTSA dropped to 8-20 after losing to UAB in San Antonio. The Roadrunners took the lead into the locker room, but they let the Blazers march back and hand them a five-point loss, 83-78. UTSA is scoring 68.1 points per game, while allowing 62.1 ppg, and shooting 40.5% from the field.
UTSA’s success on the gridiron has not transferred to the gymnasium, and they’ve endured an abysmal start to 2023, dropping to 12 of their last 14 games. UTSA is 2-15 in Conference USA play, with a 1-10 road record. Senior guard Japhet Medor leads the team in scoring after recent 20-point outings against UAB & UTEP at 13.3 ppg. Veteran center Jacob Germany double-doubled in the first meeting with FAU, and he leads UTSA in rebounding (7.9), while scoring 12.3 ppg.
