UTSA at Army 9/10/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The UTSA Roadrunners and Army Black Knights face off on Saturday in a Week 2 college football showdown at Michie Stadium.

UTSA might have opened up their season with a loss, but they still have high expectations for this season. UTSA faced off against the Houston Cougars in the first game of the season, and it looked like they were going to cruise to the victory, but they were outscored 17-3 in the 4th quarter and that led to the overtime. In overtime, they couldn’t make the stops, and UTSA was defeated 37-35. Quarterback Frank Harris had a big game completing 28 of his 43 passes for 337 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Harris also rushed eight times for 63 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Joshua Cephus also had a big game catching seven passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. On defense, they were good through the first three quarters, but in the 4th quarter they really blew it.

On the other side of this matchup is Army who opened up their season with a 38-28 defeat at the hands of Coastal Carolina. At halftime, Army was tied, but in the second half, the defense couldn’t make enough stops. Tyrell Robinson had a big game for Army on the ground rushing nine times for 135 yards and a touchdown. Army also was able to get behind the Coastal Carolina defense a few times with big passes. On defense, Army wasn’t good enough against the running game and will need to be a lot better in this game.
