The Utah Utes will head down to Provo and face the BYU Cougars in non-conference action this weekend from the Marriott Center.
Utah is 8-2 after defeating Jacksonville State at home last week. The Utes wasted no time with the Gamecocks, hitting 16 team threes en route to a 41-point victory. Utah scores 82.3 points per game, while shooting 46.4% from the floor, and 34.7% from deep. Branden Carlson leads Utah in scoring (14.1) and rebounding (7.2), while three other Utes average double figures.
BYU is 7-5 after defeating Creighton in Las Vegas. The Cougars battled the Bluejays to the brink and came away with their most impressive victory of the season. BYU scores 76.8 points per game, while shooting 43.7% from the floor, and 32.8% from three. Rudi Williams scored a season-high 26 points in the win over the Jays, and he now leads the team in scoring (13.2). Fousseyini Traore leads the team in rebounding (8.6), while scoring 11.7 ppg.
