Utah Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 12-10-2022

NFL Show

The surprising Utah Jazz take their show on the road Saturday as they take on their division rivals, the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. The Jazz are 15-13, 1.5 games behind the 15-10 Nuggets in the Northwest Division. These two foes have already played twice this season, splitting two games.

No team has been more surprising this season than the Utah Jazz. When they cut loose their to perennial all-stars in the offseason, and potential future Hall of Famers, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, people just assumed they were headed for the lottery and a rebuild. But that rebuild happened on the fly as they are 15-13 and have the 6th best record in the Western Conference, and are just 3.5 games behind first place New Orleans.

It looked like the Jazz might turn back into a pumpkin in late November as they had lost 5 straight and 8 of 10 games, but, once again, they surprised all the pundits by ri8ghting the ship. Since that 5 game losing streak, they have won 3 of their last 4, including a 124-123 win over the defending champion Golden State Warriors on Wednesday in thrilling fashion. Down one, they stole the inbounds pass with 6 seconds left and Malik Beasley hit Simone Fontecchio on the fast break, as Fontecchio slammed it home with 1.4 seconds left to give Utah the 124-123 win. But then they followed that up with a 118-108 loss to the Timberwolves on Friday — Gobert's new team. Gobert had a monster game against his old team with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Malik Beasley led Utah with 23 points while Jordan Clarkson added 22.
