Utah at USC – 12/2/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Utah Utes and USC Trojans face off on Friday in the PAC-12 Championship game at Allegiant Stadium. When these two teams faced off on October 15th it was Utah that was able to secure the 43-42 victory. Utah outscored USC 15-7 in the 4th quarter and that led to the one point victory. 

Utah comes into this game with a 9-3 record and they have gone 7-5 against the spread. Utah has had a solid season, but they have been more inconsistent as of late. In the last game against Colorado, Utah scored 63 points, and that led to the blowout victory. Cameron Rising completed 17 of his 19 passes for 234 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Ja’Quinden Jackson had a big game finishing with 10 carries for 117 yards and three touchdowns. Utah is averaging 39.4 points while their defense is giving up 20.1 goals per game. Rising on the season has thrown for 2,629 yards, 22 touchdowns, and seven interceptions so far this season. 

On the other side of this matchup is USC who sit with an 11-1 record and they have gone 8-4 against the spread. For USC it’s pretty simple, if they win this game they will be in the college football playoff. In the last game against Notre Dame the offense scored 38 points, and that was enough for the victory. Caleb Williams also can make another statement for the Heisman with a big game here. USC is averaging 42.5 points while their defense is giving up 26.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 3rd best in all of college football. Caleb Williams has thrown for 3.712 yards, 34 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
