All aboard the Nuss bus. It is finally Nussmeier's turn to be LSU's starting quarterback, replacing last year's Heisman winner Jayden Daniels.

We saw Nussmeier in last year's ReliaQuest Bowl when he threw for 395 yards and three scores in a 35-31 win over Wisconsin. Now that Nussmeier has had all offseason to prepare as LSU's QB1, he will begin with a matchup against a USC defense that ranked 120th in EPA per pass allowed last year.

I'm projecting Nussmeier to clear 300 passing yards in what should be a shootout on Sunday. That's why Caesars has moved this line up from 270.5 and is now juicing the Over on 279.45 at -145. Take advantage of this discount at FanDuel.

Before Sunday, you might want to get familiar with USC sophomore receiver Zachariah Branch.

Branch, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound speedster, will be eager to put on a show in his hometown against LSU. Branch delivered in his collegiate debut last year, scoring twice (kickoff return and receiving touchdown), and I wouldn't be surprised if he did something similar on Sunday.

While my projections indicate value on his receiving line at 57.5 yards, I prefer counting on him to find the end zone at a plus-money price. A $10 wager nets an $11 profit if Branch scores just once in the Trojans' opener.
