UNLV fell 75-71 on the road against Utah State in their previous game Tuesday night, though they did manage to cover as a seven-point underdog in that game. Fresno State fell 51-48 at home against Air Force in their most recent game, losing outright as a 2.5-point favorite, last Saturday night. In the all-time series between the teams, the Rebels own a 33-15 advantage, including a 60-57 road win in the most recent matchup on February 16, 2022.

UNLV dropped their third straight and their fifth in the last six games as they were beaten on the road by Utah State in their previous game. The Rebels dropped to 12-6 overall and stand 10th in the Mountain West with a 1-5 record in conference play. Against Utah State, UNLV trailed by nine at the half before regrouping in the second half. The Rebels rallied to take a 69-68 lead with 2:31 to play before their offense went cold. UNLV was outscored 7-2 the rest of the way to wind up with the loss. The Rebels shot 49.1% from the floor, including six of 18 from three-point range, and forced 21 turnovers though they allowed Utah State to shoot 51.1% in the contest. Keyshawn Hall led UNLV with 19 points in the loss.

On the season, UNLV is putting up an average of 76.6 points per contest, putting them 72nd in the nation in scoring offense. The Rebels are collecting 35.1 rebounds a nig ht while dishing out an average of 13.8 assists per contest. UNLV is above average on the defensive end of the floor as they surrender 67.8 points a game, putting them 143rd in scoring defense. Keshon Gilbert is one of three players on the team putting up double figures as he averages 12.4 points plus 3.9 assists a contest. EJ Harkless (16.4 points) is and Luis Rodriguez (12.4 points, 5.9 rebounds) are capable secondary options offensively.
