The UNLV Rebels will head up Logan and face the Utah State Aggies in Mountain West play from the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on the Mountain West Network. UNLV leads the all-time series, 34-12, after winning the last three meetings.
UNLV dropped to 12-5 after losing to Colorado State at home. The Runnin’ Rebels and the Rams wrestled back and forth for three periods, with CSU coming away with a tough one-point win. UNLV is scoring 79.7 points per game, while allowing ppg and shooting 45.5% from the field.
UNLV is off to an alarming 1-4 start in Mountain West play, and these two upcoming road tests may set the outlook for the remainder of the season. OU transfer Elijah Harkless went for a career-high 33 points against CSU last time out, and he leads the Rebels in scoring (17.3). Ole Miss transfer Luis Rodriguez dropped 24 points against a tough SDSU defense, and he’s up to 12.7 ppg, and a team-leading 5.9 rpg. Keshon Gilbert dropped a career-high 25 points in the win over Wazzu, and he’s averaging 12.4 ppg, and a team-lead 3.8 apg.
