UNLV at San Diego State – 11/5/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The UNLV Rebels and San Diego State Aztecs face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at Snapdragon Stadium. The Aztecs have won the last three games over the Rebels.

UNLV comes into this game with a 4-4 record overall and they have lost three games in a row. In the last game against Notre Dame, the offense managed 21 points, but the defense gave up 44 points. It’s been the defense that has let them down as of late. Harrison Bailey and Cameron Friel both played under center in the last game. Doug Brumfield has missed the last two games with a concussion and it’s unclear if he will be back here. UNLV is averaging 28 points while their defense is giving up 29.8 points per game.

On the other side of this matchup is San Diego State who also sits with a 4-4 record overall but they are coming off a loss in the last game. Fresno State scored 32 points against the Aztecs and that led to the four point defeat. Under center for the Aztes was Jayden Mayden and he threw for 291 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. He needs to clean up the turnovers for this game. The Aztecs are averaging 20.8 points while their defense is giving up 22.8 points per game. For this team to have success the defense needs to be good.
