UNLV at California 9/10/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The UNLV Rebels and California Golden Bears face off on Saturday in a Week 2 college football showdown at California Memorial Stadium.

The UNLV Rebels faced off against Idaho State in the first game of the season, and they were quite impressive coming away with a 52-21 victory. UNLV scored 35 points in the second quarter and that was enough to come away with the blowout victory. Under center for UNLV is Doug Brumfield and he completed 21 of his 35 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Courtney Reese also had a big game rushing seven times for 73 yards. On defense, UNLV did show some holes, and in this game, if they show those same holes, this will be a bad loss.

On the other side of this matchup is the Cal Golden Bears and they opened up their season against the first UC Davis and were able to secure the 34-13 victory. Jack Plummer is under center for UC Davis and he completed 23 of his 35 passes for 268 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Jaydn Ott had a big game also rushing 17 times for 104 yards. The top wide receiver was Jeremiah Hunter and he had six catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. On defense Cal was good, but it’s going to be important in this game that they are better against the pass.
