UMass at South Florida – 11/29/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The UMass Minutemen and South Florida Bulls face off on Tuesday in a college basketball showdown at the USF Sun Dome. This is the first meeting played between the two teams in recent years. 

UMass comes into this game with a 4-1 record and they have gone 3-2 against the spread. In the last game against Charlotte, the defense was lights out giving up only 54 points to Charlotte, and that led to the six-point victory. Forward Matt Cross was the top player finishing with 12 points. Massachusetts is averaging 69.2 points while their defense is giving up 64 points per game. The top player for UMass has been Noah Fernandes and he is averaging 11.8 points while shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from behind the three-point line. Matt Cross is averaging 10.5 points while shooting 42.1 percent from the field. 

On the other side of this matchup is South Florida who sits with a 2-5 record and they have gone 4-3 against the spread. In the last game against St. Francis Brooklyn, the offense scored 75 points, and that was enough to secure the 15-point victory. South Florida is averaging 66 points while their defense is giving up 66.1 points per game. Guard Tyler Harris has been the top player for South Florida averaging 14.7 points while shooting 36.6 percent from the field and 29.2 percent from behind the three point line.
