Georgia State has won the last two matchups between the two and pummeled Monroe last year 55-21. Georgia State is a 14 point favorite for Saturday's game, which kicks off at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The UL Monroe Warhawks are 3-6 on the season and 2-3 in the Sun Belt Conference. They snapped a four game losing streak last Saturday, sneaking past Texas State 31-30 but failing to cover as a 2.5 point favorite. Texas State is a cellar dweller in the Sun Belt, so take it for what it is — bit a win is a win. Malik Jackson scored on a three yard run in the fourth quarter to give the Warhawks the win. The Warhawks overcame four turnovers, including 3 lost fumbles and an interception. They were held to just 67 yards on the ground, as they did most of the damage in the air.

The Warhawks got off to a horrible start, trailing 21-0 in the second quarter, but they stormed back for the win. Quarterback Chandler Rogers carried the load, going 28 for 40 for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception. Tyrone Howell caught most of the passes with 12 receptions for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jackson had 47 yards rushing and a touchdown. The Warhawks average 23.4 points per game, which ranks 93rd in the nation while they give up 36.8 points per game, which is 124th in the nation. The good news is the Warhawks have no injuries to report.
