The UCF Black Knights fell to 10-5 on the season and 1-2 in the Big 12 following a 63-58 loss to BYU at home on Saturday night. The loss comes just one game after the Black Knights pulled off the biggest upset in school history last Wednesday with a win over #3 Kansas. Ibrahima Diallo had a huge game in the loss to BYU. Diallo finished with 19 rebonds and 11 points to pick up his second double-double of the season.

“Tremendous grit,” head coach Johnny Dawkins said of his team. “Both teams defended their hearts out, they’re one of the top defensive teams in the country and so are we. It played out in today’s game. They made a few more plays than we made and that was the difference.”

UCF is 1-2 thus far in the Big 12 and face their toughest test on Wednesday against the Longhorns on the road. The Black Knights are 127th in the nation in scoring offense this season. They are just 255th in field goal shooting and 252nd in 3-point shooting. The Black Knights have done a much better job on the defensive end, ranked 25th in scoring defense this season. They are 26th in field goal defense and 24th in 3-point defense. The Black Knights are an impressive 25th in total rebounds per game this season. They are just 229th in turnovers per game this season.
