The UCF Knights (3-0) pay a visit to Manhattan, Kansas and Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Saturday to play against the Kansas State Wildcats (2-1). UCF is 3-0 following a 48-14 victory over Villanova last weekend. UCF opened the season with a 56-6 rout of Kent State and followed that with a victory on the road versus Boise State of 18-16 before defeating Villanova. Kansas State was defeated by Missouri 30-27 last Saturday, after opening the season with two consecutive victories. Central Florida will play without  starting quarterback JohnRhys Plumlee, while tight end Jordan Davis is questionable. Kansas State will play without OL Christian Duffy while linebacker Daniel Green is doubtful and quarterback Will Howard is questionable.

The UCF Knights lost starting quarterback John Rhys Plumlee for a few weeks when he was injured in their victory over Boise State, but continued to perform well offensively. UCF is scoring an average of 40.7 points per game which is 19th in the nation and is averaging an impressive 299.3 yards per game on the ground which is second best in the country while passing for an average of 318.3 yards per game which is 16th best. UCF’s 617.7 yards per game of total offense is the highest in the nation. Quarterback Timmy McClain has thrown for 374 yards with two touchdowns. RJ Harvey has 239 yards rushing and four touchdowns while Johnny Richardson has rushed for 213 yards. Kobe Hudson has 15 receptions for 325 yards to lead all receivers.

 

The UCF defense is allowing an average of only 12.0 points per game which is 17th b est in the nation. UCF is allowing an average of 284.0 yards of total offense to its opponents which is 28th. Defensive end Josh Celiscar is the leading tackler with 20. UCF has 8.0 quarterback sacks and has made three interceptions.
