It’s a Big 12 matchup as a pair of newcomers to the conference take the floor in search of a victory in the Buckeye State. The UCF Knights are on the road as they travel north to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats Saturday night. UCF comes in off a 72-59 home victory over West Virginia in their previous contest Tuesday night, covering the line as a 7.5-point favorite. Cincinnati hung in but ended up falling 74-69 to #7 Kansas Monday night in their most recent game, though they did manage to cover the line as an eight-point underdog. In the all-time series between the programs, the Bearcats own a 14-5 advantage and have won the last two meetings. That includes a 73-71 road victory in their most recent meeting on February 19, 2023.

UCF has alternated wins and losses in their last six games as they come in off the home victory over West Virginia Tuesday night in their last contest. The Knights improved to 12-6 overall and stand tied for seventh in the Big 12 with a 3-3 conference mark on the season. Against West Virginia, UCF scored the game’s first eight points and was off to the races from there. The Knights used another 9-0 run to take a 19-7 advantage midway through the first half and led by 13 at intermission. UCF led by as many as 21 in the second half and didn’t let the Mountaineers closer than 10 as they cruised to the comfortable victory. The Knights shot 37.3% from the field, including seven of 22 from three-point range, won the rebounding battle 45-34 and knocked down 21 of their 25 free throw attempts in the game. Jaylin Sellers had 18 points to lead the Knights in the victory.

The Knights put up an average of 72.7 points per contest (235th in the country) this season. UCF pulls down 40.1 rebounds per contest (37th) while dishing out 12.1 assists per game this season. Walker, Ibrahima Diallo, Omar Payne, Thierno Sylla, Tyler Hendricks, Nils Machowski and DeMarr Langford Jr. are all important rotation players for the Knights. UCF is shooting 41.3% from the floor as a team this season. The Knights drain 6.9 triples a night while shooting 30.9% from beyond the arc.
