UC-Santa Barbara at Pepperdine – 12/10/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The UCSB Gauchos will make the one-hour trip down the coast to Malibu to take on the Pepperdine in non-conference action this weekend from the Firestone Fieldhouse.

UCSB is 5-2 after defeating in-state foe Pacific last weekend. The Gauchos used a strong first half to jump ahead, and they’d hold on to cover right on the head with an 11-point win. UCSB is scoring 79.7 points per game, while shooting 48.4% from the floor, and 35.5 from deep.

UCSB returns another rugged squad, and they got about seven deep. Ajay Mitchell double-doubled in the opener and he’s leading UCSB in scoring (15.1) and assists (4.9). Cal transfer Andre Kelly is finding life in Santa Barbara a bit more relaxing, and after double-doubling in the regional win over Pacific, he leads the team in rebounding (9.1), while scoring 11.3 ppg. Senior forward Miles Norris is posting career-highs with 12.6 ppg an 7.1 rpg.
