The UC Riverside Highlanders will travel to the University Credit Union Center on Thursday night in a Big West Conference matchup. The Highlanders are 13-6 (6-1) so far this season and are riding a four-game winning streak after an 83-78 overtime home win on Monday against the Cal Poly Mustangs. The Aggies are 11-7 (4-2) right n ow and are also on a four-game winnings streak and are coming off a 78-70 road win against the UC San Diego Tritons on Monday. These teams also play on February 9 so this will be an interesting matchup to look at. 

The UC Riverside Highlanders have been playing well and were able to pick up an 83-78 overtime home victory against the Cal Poly Mustangs. They did well in the first half as they outscored Cal Poly 32-26. They shot the ball well as they were 28-of-60 (46.7 percent) overall, 12-of-21 (57.1 percent) from the three, and 19 free-throw attempts. Senior guard Flynn Cameron led the team as in 39 minutes he finished with 25 points, five rebounds, six assists, one block, and one steal. Defensively, they struggled as they allowed 50.9 percent from the floor and 44 from deep here. UC Riverside did extremely well as they finished with only two steals and one block throughout the game. 

The UC Riverside Highlanders are doing decently well this season as they are 160th in the nation w ith 72.6 points per game thus far and shooting 44.6 percent from the floor and are averaging 13.8 assists per game. Defensively, they are giving up 68.2 points per game, which is 161st in the country. They need to improve with 1.6 blocks and 4.5 steals per game thus far.
