UC Riverside at UC Irvine – 2/11/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The UC Riverside Highlanders will make a 30-minute trip to face the UC Irvine Anteaters in Big West play from Bren Events Center on ESPNU. These two Southern California schools have faced off 50 times, and Irvine leads the all-time series, 39-11, after overwhelmingly winning 17 of the last 18 meetings.

UC Riverside moved to 16-9 after defeating UC Davis at home. The Highlanders held off a big game from Aggies stud Eli Pepper, and picked up a seven-point victory. Riverside is scoring 71.8 points per game, while allowing 68.4 ppg, and shooting 43.8% from the field.

UC Riverside responded to an untimely two-game road skid with the win over Davis, and they’ll look to remain in the conference title here.  The Highlanders are 9-4 in Big West play, with a 6-6 road record. Riverside runs through senior guard Zyon Pullin again this season, and after a 26-point outing versus Bakersfield last week, he leads the team in scoring (18.5) and assists (4.1). Senior forward Kyle Owens has double-doubled in three of the last four games, and he’s up to 10.1 ppg and 5.6 rpg.
