UC Riverside at Hawaii Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/24/23

The UC Riverside Highlanders will head to Honolulu to face the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in Big West play from the Stan Sheriff Center on Spectrum TV. This will mark the 25th time Hawaii and Riverside face off, and the Warriors hold a head-to-head lead of, 14-10, after winning the last two meetings.

UC Riverside improved to 19-10 following a road win over CSU Northridge. The Highlanders jumped out to an early lead, and cruised to beat the Matadors by 20 points, 96-76. Riverside is scoring 73.0 points per game, while allowing 69.3 ppg, and shooting 44% from the field. 

UC Riverside has won their last two games, and they now lie within reach of a regular season conference crown if they keep going here. Riverside is 12-5 in Big West play, with a 7-7 road record. The Highlanders play through Zyon Pullin again this season. The senior guard nearly double-doubled in the blowout win over Northridge, and he leads the team in scoring (17.6) and assists (4.4), while grabbing 4.3 rpg. Senior guard Flynn Cameron scored 22 points in back-to-back wins last week, he’s up to 12.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg. Freshman Lachlan Olbrich scored 23 points in the first meeting with Hawaii, and he’s reached that number in three of the last four games, and he’s now averaging 11.7 ppg and a team-lead 5.9 rpg.
